I've been so slack on actually uploading images!
Here's a whole bunch of process pictures of my monster making.
First, here are the fabrics I got my images printed on! They turned out exactly how I had hoped!
This image is of the patterns I made to construct my monsters from.
One of the monsters, in progress, I hand stitched everything (mostly because I was far too lazy to unpack my sewing machine.)
The following in-progress shot is of a grimlings (it's what I call em) that may or may not be complete tomorrow.
Then I made the eyes!
Now for the teeth, I made molds of my baby teeth out of this paint on rubber mold stuff. Then I poured resin into each tooth mold (there's 8 total).
Once the resin is set, I can peel out each tooth.
I combined them with this air dry porcelain I had and then treated them with coffee.
I combined them all on the monsters.
Here are the finished 2 ready for show and tell tomorrow.
For future Grimlings, I'm going to find some 20-25mm glass cabachons for the eyes. For the big brown one I really wanted big eyes, the 10mm cabachon eyes I made were too small for my liking, but had the perfect effect.
The blue Grimling monster I used baby safe eyes.
I also liked how those turned out.
